How Grepture works

Grepture sits in the request path as a forward proxy. Your application sends traffic to Grepture, which inspects it against your rule stack and forwards clean requests to the destination. On the return path, redacted tokens are rehydrated so your app receives complete, usable responses.

What it does

One gateway for every AI call.

Grepture is a forward proxy that sits between your application and every external AI provider. Every request passes through — giving you observability, cost tracking, PII protection, and prompt management in a single integration point.

  • [+]Observe every prompt and response across all providers
  • [+]Automatically detect and redact sensitive data before it leaves
  • [+]Track token usage and costs per request, model, and endpoint
  • [+]Manage and version prompts via API — no redeploys needed
  • [+]Debug AI issues with full request/response capture and conversation tracing
  • [+]Protect browser-based AI usage with the Chrome extension

Open source

Don’t take our word for it. Read the code.

The Grepture proxy is fully open source. Every detection rule, every redaction action, every byte of data handling is auditable. When your compliance team asks how sensitive data is protected, point them to the source.

  • //Full proxy source code on GitHub
  • //Every detection rule is readable and auditable
  • //No black-box processing — deterministic and transparent
  • //Self-host option for teams that need full infrastructure control
